We have just launched a new Electric Sharpener project on Kickstarter, the Diamond Electric Sharpener.  It is a perfect complement to your Shiroi Hana knives. Bring them back to life! 

Our new electric sharpener is a stylish, user-friendly and premium quality sharpener. The secret is the combination a powerful electric engine and diamond grit sharpening wheels. The diamond wheels are hard enough to sharpen ceramic knives.

SHIPPING UPDATE

Dear Backers, 

We hope that you have had an excellent weekend. Below is a shipping update. 

USA

Less than 190 orders remain to be dispatched in the USA. We understand that this delay is frustrating and disappointing. Our warehouse has been working as hard as possible to fulfil the orders. All should be dispatched within 10 more days. A number of backers have reached out and asked for their tracking numbers. It has been difficult for us to find them if they are amongst the 190 still to be dispatched. Please be patient for a bit longer. We will perform a final reconciliation once all orders have been shipped. 

Again, we are terribly sorry about the delay. Had we known this we would have organised the shipment to the USA differently.  

EUROPE

Most orders have been dispatched. We have a few orders that were returned, failed to deliver and a 5-10 orders are missing one or two items. Our warehouse should have received the correct quantities so we struggle to understand why we are missing some items, but when shipping out over 600 order some are bound to be miss-packaged. We are resolving each case as soon as we can. Please email [email protected] if you have not heard anything. 

AUSTRALIA & NZ

All orders have been shipped. If you have not received anything please contact [email protected] and we will investigate. 

CANADA

All orders have been dispatched. If you have not received your pledge please contact us by email. 

REST OF THE WORLD

All pledges have been sent, but we noted that a handful of shipments are stuck in local customs. Please check your tracking numbers. If not received yet, please check your junk mail.

Dear Backers, 

THANKS FOR THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK

We are pleased to receive so much positive feedback on the Shiroi Hana chef knives from backers who have received them. Please feel free to share pictures on instagram using the hashtags #edgeofbelgravia and #Shiroihana. 

For those of you who have still to receive them, please be patient, they will soon be with you. We are working hard to get them out to you as soon as possible. 

USA

The US warehouse has been working hard to fulfill these orders, but is seems that they have scaled down their staff levels since our last Kickstarter campaign. Their peak processing capacity is much lower than before. We could not know this in advance and although we will work with a larger fulfilment group for our next campaign this does not help the situation this time. 

We have agreed with the warehouse to bring in 3 extra persons to work overtime and weekend to speed up the deliveries in the USA. We will know on Monday how many additional shipments were sent.  

CANADA

We understand from our Canadian warehouse that all goods have been shipped out. There may still be the odd returned package or lost shipment, but overall everything should have been sent. If you have not yet received the shipment please email [email protected]

AUSTRALIA & NZ

Just as for Canada, all shipments should be dispatched. If you have still not received your shipment, please reach out to [email protected]

EUROPE & SWITZERLAND

We have not received an update for today, but on Monday the estimate was that all remaining goods should have been shipped out today. If you have not yet received your tracking number, please wait until Friday and then email [email protected] if you still have not received anything. 

REST OF THE WORLD

We shipped out all orders weeks ago and you should all have received a tracking number. Rest of the world shipments are always difficult and prone to issues like returned shipments, customs hold-up and lost shipments. Please check your tracking numbers if you have not yet received your shipment. 

We have a small number of single unit chef knives in stock, so if you wish to add more items to your collection you can add more items on shiroihana.backerkit.com. 

Please note that we have no 6 pcs Shiroi Hana sets and no XL wood blocks left. All have sold out. 

SUMMER SALE

We would also like to bring to your attention our temporary SUMMER SALE running on preoder.edgeofbelgravia.co.uk.   

It is only available to loyal customers and offers discounts on our classics and we still have some odd pieces of Kuroi Hana left. It may be an opportunity to buy a gift to a friend or loved one. Please note that there may be a delay for any shipment in the USA due to the current pressure on the USA warehouse.  

FRUSTRATION

We understand that it is frustrating for those of you who have yet to receive your Shiroi Hana knives. We are sorry for this and we are trying to speed up deliveries in the USA in particular. 

Nonetheless, we are thrilled to hear that so many are so happy with their knives.

DELIVERY UPDATE

Dear Backers, 

We thank you all for your support this far. Although the majority of backers have now received their Shiroi Hana chef knives, there is still a larger than expected number remaining. We are terribly sorry about that and will try to set out the reasons and how we are trying to resolve this. 

USA

Sadly, after the delay caused by the broken train carriage, we have just realised that our US fulfilment center is processing the orders at an exceptionally low rate. This is our 3rd Kickstarter campaign and we have not had any problems with this before. They claim that the orders are complicated due to the large number of SKUs. We are trying to find a solution and we are in intense discussion with them to improve the rate. This far only 25% have been shipped out in the USA. I understand that this is incredibly disappointing for you to learn. It is for us too. We want to deliver your knives asap. 

EU 

The German warehouse has shipped out all EU orders, except for the orders with whetstones. They were sent sufficient quantities, but for some reason they can not find them. We are trying to resolve this and worst case we will ship them from the UK tomorrow. We are hoping that they find them.  Any order with whetstones in the EU are therefore delayed. 

Switzerland

We are terribly sorry for the delay in shipping your goods. In retrospect it would have been better to send your pledges from the UK. Anyway, your Shiroi Hana knives were sent out either today or the remaining part tomorrow.

UK & Norway

Everything was delivered a few weeks ago. 

New Zealand

We are sorry for the delay with your rewards. One part was sent out today and the other part will go tomorrow from Australia. 

Canada

90% of all orders have been dispatched. We had some missing quantities for a small number of orders. They are shipping out from tomorrow. 

Rest of the world

Most orders have shipped. We had a few rejected orders due to incomplete address details. We have reached out to those of you in question. In addition, for a small number of backers we had some missing quantities. These are on the way and we hope to ship out by the end of this week. 

Although this is our 3rd Kickstarter campaign and although we feel fairly experienced at this stage, the shipping stage is always a challenge. We are sorry for the unexpected delays. We understand that it is frustrating. We are a small team, but we are trying to resolve all issues as fast as we can. Thanks for your patience.
